Blog Post Post Assessment

My favorite restaurant is On the Border. This restaurant mainly serves Spanish food, with a twist of American favorites. Their most famous dishes are their quesadillas, fajitas, enchilladas, and last but not least their burritos. When you first sit down you are greeted with complimentary nachos and salsa, while you decide what to order. Their waiters and waitresses are not pushy or overly attentive at all. They are more patient and attentive then most of the waiters of restaurants that I have been to.

Although this restaurant was supposed to specifically stay in U.S.A., the owners and founders realized that this restaurant was a great idea and decided to expand all over the world. As of today there are over 160 restaurants in the U.S.A., two in Puerto Rico. One location in Egypt, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and five restaurant locations in South Korea. The On the Border headquarters is located in Dallas, Texas.

The location that I usually go to is the one on Rt. 17, in Paramus. If this restaurant closed down, I would most likely go to Olive Garden. I love Italian food especially the way that it is done at Olive Garden. There are several hundreds of locations in the U.S.A. Although I enjoy most differnt types of food, Mexican, and Italian are only a few of my favorites.

Web 2.0: Do Now 12/15

One of the ways that I believe will help the world in today's era is that everyone should play an active role in society. Wether it is something so small that it isn't even noticeable, or even a bigger job.  The goal of this is to make everyone believe that they contribute to their society, That without them the community would always be a little bit different. I believe that this is an important first step in the right direction.

Do Now 10/22

As a teacher I find it necessary that people know about the structure of the Earth and where things are located. This is why as teacher I would add a class of Geography. This subject would be taught at grade levels nine through twelve. I find this extremely necessary due to the fact that most people do not even know the capitals of their own country let alone major parts of the world around us.

This would be divide in to several different pats that take place over the course of 4 years. First, structure, next would be oceans and continents. Eventually as they are learning they will not even realize how smart they are becoming.

The $50 earthquake alarm that could save thousands of lives.

The $50 earthquake alarm that could save thousands of lives.

The Grillo (Spanish for Cricket) box aims to provide a low-cost, earthquake warning system for citizens in some of Mexico's biggest cities including Mexico City.

In September 1985 a devastating earthquake measuring 8.1 on the Richter Scale smashed into Mexico City killing 10,000 people and leaving parts of the city in ruins.
Since then, the populous Latin American nation of 122 million has invested in one of the most advanced seismic warning systems anywhere in the world.
The SASMEX facility has put in thousands of sensors all along Mexico's Pacific Ocean border.
You can now buy the reactor for about $50.
This can save several thousands of lives, even though it is in its prototype phase of creation.

Is the iPhone 6 three years too late?

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak thinks they should have made a giant iPhone much sooner.
"Apple could have had a much bigger share of the smartphone market if it had a larger-screen iPhone for the past three years," Wozniak told CNNMoney.
Samsung's 24% share of the smartphone market doubled Apple's 12% in the third quarter, according to tech consultancy IDC. Until the much bigger iPhone 6 hit store shelves in September.
One gadget he's not so excited about is the Apple Watch, which is expected to debut early next year.
He said he kept going back to his phone, because he needed the larger display.
